When you’re out and about exploring the sights of London, sometimes you just need a quick bite. Though the capital is known for its Michelin-starred restaurants, it’s also got an eclectic range of food trucks – offering delicious meals at affordable prices.
Whether you’re on the go or just feeling peckish, we’ve gathered the best food trucks London has to offer.
London is the place to be for mouth-watering street food, boasting recipes from all around the world. Load up on carbs with Italian treats, sizzle your taste buds with Asian cuisine or get the best of British with home-reared produce. You’ll discover the best London street food around the city’s markets, giving you ample sweet and savoury delights.
Brick Lane is home to some of London’s best street food markets, and any carnivore would love to pick up a snack at The Rib Man. Using meat sourced from Norfolk and Suffolk farms, The Rib Man has a delicious range of rib wraps and rib rolls.
Looking for a little extra spice? His signature sauces come in a variety of flavours, including hot wing sauce, Yuzu and BBQ. Liven up pork belly, chips and even your own ribs at home with The Rib Man’s hot sauces. This is one of the best-loved food trucks Shoreditch has to offer, thanks to the owner’s quirky personality and stunning flavours.
You’ll find The Rib Man at the Truman Brewery Market on Brick Lane, less than three miles from our Bloomsbury Park and Holborn hotels.
For a pizza truck London explorers will love, look no further than Sud Italia. You might be in the Big Smoke but with a taste of Sud Italia, you’ll be transported to Naples. The secret to this Spitalfields-based food stall is its simplicity. All it takes is Italian flour, water yeast and salt, risen for up to 36 hours before being popped in the oven.
Discover a selection of flavours from ‘nduja to marinara and the classic margherita. Walk up and indulge in amazing food, or book them for corporate events. Sud Italia claim that their food is on wheels because it deserves to be shared. You can find their trucks, known as Apes, on Old Spitalfield Market, seven days a week. If you’re roaming, you’ll also see them in Camden Market and Hammersmith, just three miles from our Kensington Gardens Hotel.
When it comes to food vans, London has a cosmopolitan mix of flavours. Contributing to the Asian food scene is Rice Guys Food Truck, less than a mile from our Marble Arch hotel. Rice Guys specialise in ‘Chinese comfort food’ – but just because it’s comforting, doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy!
The team came together back in 2017 when they realised the area lacked healthy lunch choices for London’s office workers. They now offer a range of wholesome dishes including Hainanese roast chicken, smoky barbecue pork and funghi mapo tofu. Fill up on those good carbohydrates with these rice-based dishes, which you can find on Paddington Merchant Square Monday to Friday, and Canopy Market on Saturdays and Sundays.
You can even spot Rice Guys’ pop-up trucks in Kings Cross and Canary Wharf. Once your tummy’s full, don’t forget to take merchandise home with you, including snacks, sweatshirts and aprons.
You’re truly spoilt for choice with Camden Town food trucks, and Baba G’s is no exception. Operating from Monday to Friday, the ‘spice alchemists of the London street food scene’ offer their signature Bhangra burgers. Packed with punch, their stacked lamb patties, kebabs and zesty sides are great for keeping your strength up while you’re wandering around the markets.
Beyond their famous lamb burgers, there’s also an extensive menu for vegans and vegetarians. All cuisine is halal and the team are also ready to serve at your next event. Book them for corporate dos or see them in person in Camden, Vinegar Yard at London Bridge, and their pop-up shop in Brixton.
You can take away from the West Yard Camden Stall or dine in at their other venues. Enjoy over 10 years of flavour experience with these Indian food entrepreneurs.
For street food trucks London tourists will love, The Orange Buffalo is a shining star. Founders Nick and Mike were so inspired by an American road trip that they decided to bring Buffalo wings to the UK. Today, they have become known as the nation’s first dedicated Buffalo wing food truck, bringing those famous New York flavours with them.
Sink your teeth into a hearty plate of wings on Shoreditch’s Brick Lane. If you want to bring the taste home with you, there’s also an extensive range of hot sauces to buy. Keep it simple with the Original medium spice or turn it up to 11 with the Viper sauce. You can even take merchandise home including trucker caps, t-shirts and aprons.
Perfect for a lunchtime light bite or a late night stop, The Orange Buffalo will not disappoint. Find all their crispy classics at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
Whether it’s a Mexican burrito or a Japanese gyoza, you’ll taste all your favourites with our London food truck locations. After your culinary tour, be sure to top off the day with a stay at our central hotels. Bon appetit!
